Charleston has so many stunning places to photograph families. SO many that when clients ask for suggestions, I always have to have them narrow down the type of aesthetic they are looking for - beach, rural, historic, modern, etc. With so many of my usual locations on lock down, family portraits have had to "stay at home" too and it's honestly been a sweet return to simplicity.
I do start these on the front porch (if lighting allows), but quickly ask to stray and check out other parts of the yard, pull out favorite toys, bubbles, books, snacks, or anything else to make the photos personal and relevant to this time that we're in.
I'm ready to get back out into the world, but have to say I'd love to keep these more intimate sessions as well!
